Tim at Tenerife Dive.
Established for over ten years, Tenerife Dive successfully contributes to divers and diver training, PADI members and the dive industry at large. In 2011, this commitment to professional development and excellence was recognized when Tenerife Dive were awarded the prestigious PADI 5-Star Career Development Centre status.
Following a merger with Sol Scuba in 2011, Tenerife Dive continues to command a huge diver following and is the preferred dive centre for several major hotels on the island. Having developed successful relationships with various organizations, charities and schools within the local community, Tenerife Dive was recently chosen to take part in a film promoting scuba diving for tourism in Tenerife. Tenerife Dive is passionate about Project Aware and is currently working on a project to turn a local dive site into a marine conservation area.
Tenerife Dive holds a 100% safety record and promotes fun, while PADI standards and procedures, your safety and local laws are the main priority. Tenerife Dive teaches all PADI courses, from beginner to PADI IDC Staff Instructor!
Meet the Team!
Six years ago Tim swapped his business suit for a wetsuit and has never looked back! A chance meeting with Jacques Cousteau in Cannes over twenty years ago on board his vessel ‘RV Calypso’, combined with a deep rooted family history of seafarers was all the inspiration that Tim needed to realize his passion for all things ocean. As the scuba diving bug strengthened its grip, Tim continued his diver education within the PADI system and is now a PADI Master Instructor, Emergency First Response Instructor as well as holding the RYA Powerboat license. Tim looks upon the ocean as his “underwater office” and insists that he works very hard!
David is an Emergency First Response Instructor Trainer and the only PADI Platinum Course Director in Spain and the Canary Islands, this is the highest certification level within the PADI system. David holds the “Padron” or Spanish Skipper’s license and has to date, certified a staggering 800 PADI Instructors! David has on occasion, been rumoured to make the coffee!
Yvonne is an Emergency First Response Instructor, a PADI Master Instructor and a PADI Specialty Instructor, with vast diving experience and knowledge, Yvonne is like a breath of fresh air and she always knows the answers!
Whilst the rest of the team are underwater, Tara holds the fort and manages the day to day running of the centre. Tara is nicknamed the “Bookings Queen” and will have you believe that she does all the hard work!
